Information for prospective students and teachers

We offer a broad portfolio of lectures and other opportunities to give high-school students an understanding of Materials Science – both as an important research discipline and as a fascinating study discipline. We also welcome students to undertake work experience (“Schülerpraktikum”) at our institute. Of course we are always happy to participate in career orientation days at schools, too.

If you would like to visit our institute with a whole class/course, we would be very happy to tailor a program fitting your individual needs.

Our information event for prospective students (“Schüler:innen-Infotag”) takes place annually (typically around September).

Information for Employees

We offer support in raising public awareness for your topics (e.g. research results, prizes, awards or events) and are of course also happy to help with issues like patent protection or industry collaborations. We would like to encourage you to reach out to us us if you have ideas for public relations work.

You can find the current PowerPoint template as well as information and promotional material in the internal area.

If you get the chance to promote Materials Science and are interested in print material, exhibition equipment or show experiments, you can borrow them from us in L2|01, room 208.
