ALOVA team is a double winner in the Science4Life Venture Cup

A team from Advanced Thin Film Technology wins two renowned prizes for startup ideas and concepts.
Congratulations to our ALOVA team which is one of the five winning teams (out of more than 80) of the Science4Life Venture Cup in the idea phase. Meanwhile, the same team also received the first prize in the concept phase. Science4Life is a nationwide start-up initiative existing since 1998. Utilizing tunable capacitors (varactors) based on the novel material SrMoO3 as bottom electrode, the team wants to revolutionize mobile communication. The all-oxide heterostructure allows high performance due to low defect density and low tuning voltages in the Li-ion battery regime. In addition, it replaces expensive precious metals with sustainable high performing oxides.
