Topic: “Electrical characterization of oxygen-engineered yttrium oxide and hafnium oxide-based resistive random-access memory (RRAM) devices”
It's done, Dr. Eszter Piros! Everyone is talking about neuromorphic computing, but with which materials? In her work, Eszter has investigated how materials need to be changed in order to achieve the transition from classic digital memory (two states) to analog components with many different resistive states. The oxygen defects, which Eszter also investigated with the help of electronic noise, are crucial here. Perhaps Y2O3 is the neuromorphic material of the future!
We were very pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Christian Wenger from IHP Frankfurt/Oder as a co-examiner.
And we are very happy that Eszter will stay at TU Darmstadt as a postdoc!
