We offer in close collaboration between the Fraunhofer IWKS and the Materials and Resources research group at TU Darmstadt open positions for Advanced Research Lab (ARL) and Bachelor/Master thesis or as student assistant (HiWi), respectively. We are eager to host students who are ready to adapt oneself to new challenges in the field of Li-ion battery cathode active material recycling.

Your tasks:

- Identification of open scientific questions by thorough literature survey and discussions with the group members

- Carrying out own experiments to prove or disprove the working hypothesis

- Sample analysis including XRD, TGA, and SEM-EDX

You offer:

- Sound and comprehensive understanding in materials science, particularly in XRD, TGA, and SEM-EDX

- Passion for presenting your results on different levels

- Self-motivated hard-working researcher attitude

- Persistent and consistent performance with intense concentration, focus, and taking responsibility

- Ability to deliver the results within a given time frame

- Team player and the ability to work for a greater goal

- Good English language skills (B2 or higher)
