Dr Maximilian Fries developed a pioneering cooling technology based on the magnetocaloric principle during his doctorate at the Institute of Materials Science at TU Darmstadt. Together with Dimitri Benke and Prof Oliver Gutfleisch, he then founded MAGNOTHERM to bring the invention to market. The technology and the scientists are presented in the TV program “Einfach Genial” from December 10, 2024.
