Magnotherm named Start-up of the Year 2022

The company Magnotherm, a spin-off of materials scientists at Darmstadt Technical University, has been named “Start-up of the Year 2022”. The founding team around Timur Sirman and Dr. Maximilian Fries successfully prevailed in a pitch at the dfv Euro Finance Tech Day in Frankfurt am Main. Magnotherm uses the so-called magnetocaloric effect to develop cooling and heating systems that are 40 percent more efficient and use no harmful materials in their production.

The “Start-up of the Year” award is presented by Frankfurt Forward, a matchmaker for start-ups, companies and industry. For this, a jury scouts the best B2B start-ups of a year. The six best then present themselves on stage.
