FM group hosted international magnetism conference

14th Joint European Magnetic Symposia held in Frankfurt

From 24–29 August, Prof Oliver Gutfleisch and his research group Functional Materials hosted the international magnetism community at the 14th Joint European Magnetic Symposia (JEMS2025). 770 researchers from all over the world shared a week full of discussions, discoveries, and collaborations around magnetism and magnetic materials in Frankfurt.

The confernce featured a rich scientific program, with numerous plenary and semi-plenary talks, contributed oral presentations, and poster sessions fostering deep discussion and exchange. Special sessions like Young Researchers Network (YORNE), Diversity in Magnetism, and Industry Meets Science added depth to the scope of the event.

The TU Darmstadt Institute of Materials Science congratulates the JEMS2025 team on successfully organizing and hosting the event with a great deal of commitment, dedication and passion.
