Master Orientation Week
Starting your Master in Materials Science at TU Darmstadt? Then you are at the right place!

Every year in the winter semester, we organize various events during the first week of lectures, which are aimed at master students who are new to Darmstadt. The events range from a schnitzel evening to a pub crawl and a barbecue evening. In addition, there are some lectures in which different groups at the TU and in the department introduce themselves. The whole thing takes place between the lectures and a detailed schedule will be published here on the website in time. In the summer semester we try to organize at least one barbecue evening for the newcomers, to which all master students who have been studying for a longer time are invited.

You should have received information especially about the orientation lecture by Dr. Sonderfeld via mail or for already enrolled students via TuCaN.

This spring, we invite you to join us for campus tours and a meal together in the dining hall on Friday, 12.04.2024, the week before classes. The tour will follow Dr. Sonderfeld's official lecture.

In the first week of lectures, on Wednesday evening, the 17.04.2024 we will organize a pub crawl to get to know the nightlife of Darmstadt.

Finally, on 18.04.2024 (Thursday) we will fire up the grill and organize a “Grill & Chill”.

This fall, we invite you to join us for campus tours and a meal together in the dining hall on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, the week before classes. The tours will frame Dr. Sonderfeld's official lecture.

During this week you can join us at the Unikino of the Filmkreis of the TU Darmstadt. There the entrance is free on Tuesday, 12.10.2023. In addition, we would like to sit down with you before and afterwards for a cold drink of your choice and get to know each other better.

In the first week of lectures, on Wednesday evening, the 18.10.2023 we will organize a pub crawl to get to know the nightlife of Darmstadt.

Finally, on 20.10.2023 (Friday) we will fire up the grill and organize a “Grill & Chill”.
