Outstanding achievements at the 31. Erfinderlabor of the ZFC

2022/05/25

Once again this year, 16 outstanding students were able to tackle challenging scientific complexes as part of the 31. Erfinderlabor of the Center for Chemistry (ZFC). The Functional Materials Department and other departments of the Institute of Materials Science at TU Darmstadt hosted the students and let them experiment in their laboratories.

This year, elementary topics of the next decades were addressed: the energy transition. The focus was on sustainable solutions, alternative technologies and innovative concepts for the world of tomorrow.

The results were presented at the virtual closing event on May 06.

The inventor lab is part of the ZFC initiative “Schule 3.0 – MINT for Future”. The aim is to improve the professional orientation of students in the MINT environment with the interlinked disciplines of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology by integrating socially relevant scientific and technical topics into regular lessons.
