Study

We continuously offer topics for Bachelor or Master theses and for Advanced Research Labs. Current topics can be requested from the group leader or any scientific team member.

In your thesis or research lab you will learn about thin film deposition and analysis of electronic structure of materials and their interfaces using photoelectron spectroscopy or advanced electrical conductivity analysis. The emphasis on the different techniques will depend on the individual topic. For Master thesis and Advanced Research Lab students knowledge of the content of the course “Semiconductor Interfaces” is recommended.

  • Limitation of Cu-oxides for solar cell applications,
  • In-operando Hall effect measurement of ITO electrodes in an electrochemical cell,
  • Determination of defect energy levels in high-permittivity dielectrics,
  • Influence of Electrodes on resistance degradation of high-permittivity dielectrics,
  • Transport properties of NiO thin films,
  • Fermi energy in (La,Sr)FeO3-x,
  • Analysis of the Fermi energy in BiFeO3,
  • Modulation doping of In2O3,
