Visit from the NCKU (Taiwan)
2024/01/24

In January and February, two professors from the in Taiwan are visiting the Advanced Thin Film Technology group. Prof. Jen-Sue Chen (Materials Science) and Prof. Jih-Jen Wu (Chemical Engineering) as well as a doctoral student from NCKU (M.Sc. Li-Chung Shih), who is currently conducting a one-year research stay in the group, are funded by the Dragon Gate Partnership Programme from Taiwan, which serves to connect top laboratories. The visit is taking place as part of the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) on memristor technology. The aim of the visit is to intensify the collaboration and prepare a joint bilateral research proposal. The subject of the collaboration is memristors, electronic memory components that can store and process information in an energy-efficient manner. One application of these memristors is in energy-saving artificial intelligence algorithms. TU Darmstadt International Joint Research Lab
