Solid Electrolyte Interfaces: The Effect of Interfacial Charge Distribution on Chemical Compatibility and Stability of the High Voltage Electrodes (LiCoPO 4 , LiNiPO 4 )/Solid Electrolyte (LiPON) Interface

Our recent paper on prediction of interfacial chemical reactions in battery systems was chosen as a back cover in Advanced Materials Interfaces.
The key parameters are the electrochemical and ionization potentials of ionic conductors. Interface stability is achieved by a higher energy difference between the ionization potentials of the cathode and electrolyte. The suppression of detrimental interface reactions is an important step in the development of a new generation of all-solid-state 5 V Li ion batteries for e‐mobility.
