Today we congratulate Dr. Shalini Sharma on her very successful disputation! This Disputation was the first digital disputation in Faculty 11. Despite the unusual format as a video conference the disputation could be conducted almost as normal. The topic of the doctoral thesis was: “Structural and magnetic properties of epitaxial rare-earth cobalt thin films”. The work of Ms. Shalini is partly continued within the new Collaborative Research Center CRC/TRR 270. Prof. Dr. Barbara Albert from the Department of Chemistry acted as external member of the examination committee.

We would like to thank Shalini for her time in the ATFT group, her excellent publication record with so far three first author publications (see publication list) and presentations at international conferences. We wish Shalini much success in her next career steps.
