APL Materials Excellence in Research Award for Patrick Salg

Dr. Leopoldo Molina-Luna receives the APL Materials Excellence in Research award on behalf of Patrick Salg in Boston, 4th December 2019.
The renowned journal APL Materials (impact factor 4.3) awards an Excellence in Research Award each year. The first prize in 2019 goes to TU Darmstadt, congratulations Patrick!
The winning paper (doi: 10.1063/1.5094855) was selected by an external committee and is reviewed based on the scientific content.
The prize was announced during the MRS Fall 2019 meeting in Boston, USA. Patrick gets $5,000 and will receive career advice. Everybody is looking forward to the big party!
The material in focus is a highly conducting perovskite, SrMoO3, which enables novel devices for 5G communication in all-oxide thin film technology. One fascinating aspect is that fundamental and excellent science meets application relevant technology innovation.
