Dr. Xufei Fang announced as JACerS 2nd Century Trailblazer awardee

The Journal of the American Ceramic Society (JACerS) has announced Dr. Xufei Fang from the division Nonmetallic-Inorganic Materials as the inaugural 2nd Century Trailblazer.

Fang is not only Athene Young Investigator at the TU Darmstadt but also group leader of the new Hydrogen Micromechanics group in the Institute for Applied Materials – Mechanics of Materials and Interfaces at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. His open-access article Mechanical tailoring of dislocations in ceramics at room temperature: A perspective describes his work performed at TU Darmstadt.

The Journal of the American Ceramic Society launched the 2nd Century Trailblazers initiative in 2023 to raise the profile of early-career ceramic and glass scientists and engineers who are conducting outstanding research. More than 70 researchers were nominated this year.
