Manuel Best elected federal spokesperson of the young-DGM

On 23 August 2023, our M.Sc. student Manuel Best was re-elected to the federal spokesperson team of the young-DGM. He has already held the position in the past two years.

Manuel Best will share the task with Michéle Scholl for the next two years. In the first year, Michéle Scholl is the national spokesperson and Manuel Best is the deputy. In the second year, the positions will be swapped.

According to its statutory mission, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde (DGM, German Materials Society) e.V. promotes the networking of young talents in the field of material science and engineering with each other as well as with established professionals from science and industry. A variety of offers take into account first career steps on different career levels. With numerous publicity measures, the DGM tries to demonstrate the immense importance of materials science and materials engineering and – above all – to inspire young people for the field. The national spokesperson and his/her deputy represent the interests and concerns of all young-DGM local groups towards the junior committee.
