Imaging Light Elements in Functional Oxide Materials with State-of-the-art STEM Techniques

Description:

This master thesis explores the possibility of imaging oxygen atomic columns in functional oxides with Annular Bright Field STEM techniques (ADF). Multislice simulations and 4D-STEM virtual detector imaging is applied in combination with conventional ADF imaging to evaluate imaging capabilities of the current setup and determine oxygen positions.
