Darmstadt can be reached on the highways A5 and A67. Turn off the highway at exit “Darmstadt/Griesheim” and follow the road marker direction city, then direction “Böllenfalltor” or “TU Lichtwiese”. Public parking places with costs are available on the Campus.

Arrival at Darmstadt Main Station:

Connection by bus: Take line K or KU in front of the main hall with direction “TU Lichtwiese”. This is the final stop of the line amidst the Campus.

Connection by train: Change to VIAS Railway Line (“Odenwald-Bahn”) with direction “Eberbach” or “Erbach” and alight at stop “TU Lichtwiese”. Following the foot path aside the Mechanical Engineering Departments (“Maschinenbau”) you will find the Materials Science Building on left hand.

Direct Approach from Frankfurt City:

There is a special direct VIAS Odenwald-Bahn service from Frankfurt/Main Central Sta-tion to the Campus (direction “Erbach” or “Eberbach”, 3rd stop “Darmstadt TU Lichtwiese”). This train is neither calling at Frankfurt Intl. Airport nor at Darmstadt Central Railway Station.

Best possibility to arrive Darmstadt is the HEAG Air Liner (a direct bus to Darmstadt Central Railway Station). It starts at Terminal 1 and 2. Journey-time: about 25 minutes.

At Darmstadt Central Railway Station you can take bus K to Lichtwiese, step off at final stop.
