My project aims to synthesise and optimise electrocatalysts comprising metal nanoparticles confined within carbon nanostructures using Catalytic Chemical Vapour Deposition (CCVD). The performance of these hybrid materials will be analysed for the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER) and Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER). In-situ/operando characterization of the materials will be performed to figure out the active phase of the catalyst and to monitor the material property changes during HER and OER.
