et al. followed the decay of the OER-active NiOOH phase to Ni(OH)2 obtained from electrochemical polarization in the absence of an applied potential ( Gallenberger). To this end different environments in which following characterization could be conducted were probed. Even though NiOOH was found to be instable in electrolyte and air even in a short time period, a stabilization in vacuum for subsequent characterization was proven. This enables a study of the OER-active phase rather than Ni(OH)2. DOI: 10.1039/D3CY00674C
