We are pleased to announce that Dr. Yangyiwei Yang was awarded the “Outstanding Academic Achievement in Dissertations” (Preise für hervorragende wissenschaftliche Leistungen – Dissertationen) for his Ph.D. dissertation, titled “Multiphysics-Multiscale Simulation of Additively Manufactured Functional Materials”, at the Frühlingsfest on May 27, 2025, by Vereinigung von Freunden der Technischen Universität zu Darmstadt e.V.

Founded in 1918 — nearly 110 years ago — as the Ernst Ludwig University Society, the association has promoted science in research and teaching at TU Darmstadt ever since. The association awards this prize annually to candidates nominated by every department. The prize includes a one-year membership to the association and €2,500 in prize money.
