FM @ DPG2022

FM members including Prof. Oliver Gutfleisch joined the DPG Meeting of the Condensed Matter Section in Regensburg from 4 to 9 September. The latest research results in solid state physics were presented and discussed at Europe's largest physics congress with around 4000 participants. The Functional Materials group presented talks and posters on hysteresis design for energy conversion to rare-earth laves phases for magnetocaloric hydrogen liquefaction, the corrosion behaviour of magnetocaloric materials, nanoparticles for biomedical applications, additive manufacturing of permanent magnets and field assisted processing of magnetic materials incl. 2 invited talks and a total of 13 contributions.
