2025/05/09

With great pleasure we invite you to attend the 14th Joint European Magnetic Symposia (JEMS) Conference, which will take place in Frankfurt, Germany from August 24 to 29, 2025.

Early Bird Registration is open until May 30, 2025, regular Registartions is running until July 31, 2025. Register atwww.jems2025.eu.

JEMS is Europe’s premier and most comprehensive magnetism conference, fostering collaboration and innovation. With no more than five oral sessions running in parallel, JEMS guarantees a critical mass and an engaged audience for your work. This is reflected by the high number of quality abstracts submitted — approximately 800 abstracts across a broad range of magnetism fields, providing an ideal platform to share the latest advances in research and innovation worldwide.

In addition to the scientific program, JEMS 2025 will feature several Special Events:

  • Monday, 25th August: “Young Researchers Network Event” fostering connections among young researchers attending JEMS.
  • Tuesday, 26th August: “Diversity in Magnetism” promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within scientific communities and institutions.
  • Wednesday, 27th August: “EMA Session”, plenary talks from the winners of the EMA Young Scientist Awards 2024 and 2025, a presentation of EMA’s annual report, and an informal session to meet EMA presidents and officers.
  • Thursday, 28th August: “Industry Meets Science”, highlighting collaborations between industry and academia in magnetism and magnetic materials, including value creation through spin-offs.

If you are unable to attend in person, you can still follow all sessions online. However, all presenters will be onsite, ensuring lively discussion during oral and poster sessions as well coffee breaks.

JEMS 2025 is chaired by Prof. Oliver Gutfleisch from the Dep. of Functional Materials at TU Darmstadt and runs under the umbrella of the European Magnetism Association (EMA) and with the support of the Rhine-Main-Universities (RMU) alliance.

JEMS 2025 will be hosted at the Westend Campus of Goethe University Frankfurt, which includes the buildings for social sciences and humanities, as well as the central administration. The campus, with its park-like setting and impressive travertine buildings, is one of the most beautiful in Germany. It offers modern lecture rooms, a beer garden, and several airy restaurants and cafes.

We will soon announce more details on our exciting program and invited speakers. Stay tuned by visiting our website, https://jems2025.eu

We look forward to welcoming you to Frankfurt for an inspiring and engaging JEMS 2025!
