Dr. Alexander Zintler was awarded the Harald Rose Prize for his dissertation. His doctoral thesis entitled “Investigating the influence of microstructure and grain boundaries on electrical properties in thin film oxide RRAM devices – A component specific approach” was supervised by Prof. Molina-Luna in the Advanced Electron Microscopy division and involves the application of state-of-the-art transmission electron microscopy methods to investigate memristor structures.

The award was presented on 24.11.2023 as part of the Physics Colloquium of the Department of Physics by the Vice President for Innovation and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Thomas Walther.

Harald Rose Prize

The Harald Rose Prize is awarded for outstanding master's theses or dissertations related to electron microscopy. The prize is endowed with €3,000 and is awarded annually alternately at TU Darmstadt and the University of Ulm, Professor Rose's former places of work.
