- Plasticity: stress-strain relations, Dreibereichskurven
- Line defects: dislocation theory, dislocation detection
- Interaction of point defects and impurity atoms with dslocations: Klettern von Versetzungen, Mischkristallhärtung
- Flächendefekte: Grain boundaries and surfaces, domain walls
- Interactions of point defects with Flächendefekte, interactions of dislocations with grain boundaries: Feinkornhärtung
- Volumendefekte: Formation and properties of precipitants.
- Interactions of point, line and Flächen defects with precipitants
- Correlation between defects and mechanical/electrical/etc material properties
