The Division of Materials Modelling congratulates Mr. Ali Muhammad Malik on his successful defence and thus on his doctorate. The oral examination took place on 15. December 2025 in the rooms of the Institute of Materials Science. The topic of his thesis is “Stability, Metastability, and Exfoliability of MAX Phases and Their 2D MXene Derivatives: Insights from Electronic Structure Calculations”.
