E-MRS Spring meeting in Strasbourg

Young Researcher Award for Yingxin Li

01.06.2026

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the E-MRS Spring meeting in Strasbourg. There were a lot of fruitful discussions in our symposium titled „Material-related problems of neuromorphic technologies“ organised by Nikolai Sobolev.

Prof. Lambert Alff gave an invited talk on the interdisciplinary interplay of materials science, electrochemistry, defect engineering and electrical engineering, all necessary to drive the digital-analogue transition in computing. The talks of our colleagues, Eszter Piros, Yu Duan and Yingxin Li covered a wide range of topics, from combating variability via defect-engineering through advanced characterisation methods to electronic noise suppression in our yttria and hafnia-based RRAM devices.

We are extremely proud that Yingxin Li has received the Symposium's Young Researcher Award. Congratulations Yingxin! We can't wait to see what your future brings!

The work was supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, NeAIxt Project and Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt.
