Novel Polysiloxanes-CNTs-Based Composites with Enhanced Piezoresistive Properties
Beschreibung:
Organosilicon polymers such as polysiloxanes can be fused, dissolved, pressed and therefore they allow for using of a wide range of simple and cheap shaping processes, generally used for plastics technology, leading to the fabrication of complex shaped bodies or miniaturized parts. The polymers are not sensitive to air and moisture and their rheology can be tuned by changing the structure of the polymer or by using fillers.
The goals of this work are:
- To prepare different polysiloxanes-based composites with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and to assess their rheology, adhesion to the surface, solubility, etc.
- To prepare polysiloxanes/CNTs-based microstructured coatings by inkjet, screen printing, gravure printing and flexo techniques on metallic substrates (together with Institut für Druckmaschinen und Druckverfahren, IDD).
- To characterize the composite coatings by means of SEM, EDX, Raman and FTIR spectroscopy.
- To investigate the piezoresistive properties of the polysiloxanes/CNTs-based coatings (together with the EMK Institute).
